Programs include: ​Brain Injury Rehabilitation - Helping patients learn new skills to help manage many of the symptoms of brain injury. ​Cancer rehabilitation - Addresses needs at each stage of treatment, helping patients cope with the effects of cancer and its treatment. ​Chronic pain services - Comprehensive outpatient pain management services. ​Comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation - Hospital-based rehabilitation program for those who require close medical monitoring and management of medical conditions. ​Comprehensive stroke rehabilitation program - Evidence-based treatments support individuals who have had a stroke as they regain daily living skills and become as independent as possible. ​Courage Kenny Kids - Offering physical and occupational therapy and speech-language pathology. ​Courage Kenny Spine Centers - Provides specialized, nonsurgical treatment for low back and neck pain. ​Spinal Cord Rehabilitation - Offers inpatient and outpatient services for persons with a spinal cord injury. ​Occupational/physical therapy and speech-language pathology - Providing clinic based outpatient rehabilitation therapy.

Provides people and their families with services and supports to meet their unique needs. The Family Support 360 (FS360) Program is self-directed, which means the person and their family choose the services, the staff who provide them, and a schedule based on their needs. FS360 helps people and their family receive state-funded services and other community services, together with natural supports (extended family members, friends, neighbors, church congregations, and community organizations). Family Support Service Coordinators act as an advocate for you and your family. Services and supports include but are not limited to: service coordination, environmental accessibility adaptive equipment, vehicle modifications, companion services, supported employment, personal care, respite care, special medical adaptive equipment and supplies, nutritional supplements, specialized therapies, and recreational and social opportunities.

The respite care program is also available to post-adoptive families, referred by Adoption Agency, with or without special needs, and foster parents who are referred by the SD Department of Social Services.

The team builds meaningful relationships with individuals with disabilities, their families, and the people they interact and work with on a day-to-day basis. Advocates for increased self-determination, independence, productivity, and a healthy and satisfying quality of life for self-advocates and the community at large. Programs and services include: Evaluation Clinics (Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinic, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Clinic, LEND Developmental Clinic, and Transition in Action Clinic), Autism Spectrum Disorder program, Birth to Three Program, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Program, LEND Program, RISE-UP Program, and Oyate Circle Program.

There are many opportunities for people to participate in and explore a variety of meaningful activities throughout their day. They do this in many ways, and all services are driven by each person's own goals, dreams, and needs. Some areas of focus are accessing their community which may include volunteering or attending activities and events in the community; recreational and leisure activities such as swimming, bowling, spending time at local parks, movies, or eating out; meaningful relationships; maintaining or leaning new skills; and self advocacy.

Provides early intervention services, at no cost, for families who have children from birth to age three, that have difficulty learning, growing, or behaving like other children in their age group or have a medical condition which doctors feel may need special attention. ​Available to any family in the 11-county area and offers a no-cost developmental screening/evaluation.

Made up of 25 members appointed by the Governor. The Council receives federal dollars that it then grants to other community agencies for projects benefiting people with developmental disabilities (DD), projects include funding for individuals with DD and their family members to attend workshops and conferences, Partners in Policy-Making, Youth Leadership Forum, SD Advocates for Change, and Information and Referrals.
