​Specialized therapy (including occupational, speech, behavior and physical therapies) and psychology services for individuals of all ages in Sioux Falls. Therapists provide specialized treatments in assistive technology, seating and positioning, feeding and swallowing, augmentative communication, sensory integration, pediatric bowel and bladder incontinence; visual motor/perception; torticollis treatment; serial casting; behavior management; and screenings and evaluations of Autism.

The Center for Disabilities LEND Clinic works to improve the health of infants and children with neurodevelopmental and related disabilities. The Center for Disabilities helps families who are interested in learning how to support their child's strengths and address their weaknesses and health care needs. The South Dakota LEND Developmental Clinic provides a free interdisciplinary evaluation to children who are between six months and six years old who may have a developmental concern. The evaluation is offered once a month at the USD Sanford School of Medicine Health Science Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Made up of 25 members appointed by the Governor. The Council receives federal dollars that it then grants to other community agencies for projects benefiting people with developmental disabilities (DD), projects include funding for individuals with DD and their family members to attend workshops and conferences, Partners in Policy-Making, Youth Leadership Forum, SD Advocates for Change, and Information and Referrals.

Helps families with temporary relief care for children or adults with special needs. The child or adult must live with a parent or family member and meet one of the eligibility categories below. There is no income limit. An adult or child eligible for family support waiver services is not eligible for respite services. Eligibility Categories include: Developmental disability (child or adult); Developmental delay (birth to age 3); Serious emotional disturbance (child); Severe and persistent mental illness (adult); Chronic medical condition (child); Traumatic brain injury (child or adult); Adopted Child (with or without a disability).

Family Support 360 (FS 360) helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families get the services they need to live in their own home and community as independently as possible. FS 360 is self-directed, which allows the person or their guardian to choose their staff and schedule based on their needs.

Providing personalized applied behavior analysis therapy to those who have an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis, developmental delay, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, genetic disorders, sleep disorders, or other conditions. Services focus on skills like language, social interaction, daily living, and behavior replacement. This in-home therapy includes parent training and behavior consultations.

The Department of Human Services Guardianship Program provides guardianship and/or conservatorship services as a last resort to qualified individuals age 18 or older with an intellectual or developmental disability as defined in SDCL 27B-1-18 or qualified individuals in the Long Terms Services and Supports program. The South Dakota Department of Human Services may be appointed as a guardian, a conservator, or both, for adults with developmental disabilities under its care or to whom it is providing services or financial assistance, but only if there is no individual, nonprofit corporation, bank or trust company, or other public agency that is qualified to serve, as defined in SDCL 29A-5-110, or qualified individuals in the Long Terms Services and Supports program. The department also provides financial assistance for qualified individuals who are willing and qualified to serve as a guardian and/or conservator of up to $1,500.00 for the establishment of a guardianship or conservatorship through the Guardianship Establishment Program. Limited amount of funds for this program are available each year on a first come first served basis for qualified individuals.

Provides people and their families with services and supports to meet their unique needs. The Family Support 360 (FS360) Program is self-directed, which means the person and their family choose the services, the staff who provide them, and a schedule based on their needs. FS360 helps people and their family receive state-funded services and other community services, together with natural supports (extended family members, friends, neighbors, church congregations, and community organizations). Family Support Service Coordinators act as an advocate for you and your family. Services and supports include but are not limited to: service coordination, environmental accessibility adaptive equipment, vehicle modifications, companion services, supported employment, personal care, respite care, special medical adaptive equipment and supplies, nutritional supplements, specialized therapies, and recreational and social opportunities.

Focuses on empowering people with disabilities to live, work, and participate fully in their communities. Provides training, technical assistance, education, research, and services to promote best practices and build statewide and local community capacity. The team builds meaningful relationships with individuals with disabilities, their families, and the people they interact and work with on a day-to-day basis. Advocates for increased self-determination, independence, productivity, and a healthy and satisfying quality of life for self-advocates and the community at large.
