Medical assistance programs include: ​Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP): Coverage includes such things as doctor, hospital, prescription drugs, counseling, dental and glasses. Insurance for children up to age 19 at no cost to the family if the income is below certain income levels found on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If the family income is below 140%, the children may be eligible with or without private health insurance. If there is insurance, CHIP will pay the deductibles, co-insurance, and possibly some medical services not covered by the private insurance. ​Medicaid: Health care coverage for people who qualify. To be eligible for Medicaid, individuals must fall into a coverage group and meet certain financial and non-financial eligibility criteria. Provides help for older adults and people with disabilities.

Support groups for people impacted by mental illness diagnoses led by trained facilitators of people with lived experiences. Group members help each other by sharing their lived experiences and learned wisdom. There is also a support group for family members for people with a mental illness.

Provides kid friendly food each week starting at the beginning of the school year and ending the last week of school for preschool - 5th grade (and Head Start).

Offers a free meal and fellowship to anyone who attend. Churches, Community Groups, Service Clubs, and School Groups are welcome to volunteer to provide, prepare, and serve those who come to eat. The United Church of Christ (Congregational) supports the organization by hosting a community meal every week.

The West River Area Health Education Center is committed to expanding the healthcare workforce in South Dakota, as well as offering creative, hands-on and innovative health career curriculums for pre-college level students.

Investigates child abuse and neglect cases by working with the State's Attorney, law enforcement, and community resources to determine extent of alleged child abuse or neglect. Other services include adoptions, licensing of foster homes, assessment services, case management, and intensive family services. Provides Public Health Nursing and Maternal Child Healthcare Services through various programs. General public health services include professional nursing and nutrition information and guidance on health, safety, and nutrition for individuals, families, and communities. Services such as influenza vaccinations and screenings for blood pressure, hearing, vision, and hemoglobin are available at a fee. Maternal Child Healthcare provides Infant Sleep Safety services, immunizations, and pregnancy support services. Infant Sleep Safety services provide education on infant safe sleep practices and link families to resources when the purchase of a crib is a financial hardship. ​Immunizations services are available for children from birth through age 18 for all universally recommended vaccinations including influenza. The Vaccines for Children's Program provides vaccines for children who are uninsured, have insurance that does not cover vaccinations, are Medicaid eligible, or are Native American or Alaskan Native. For families with insurance coverage, the Department of Health is an in-network provider for Sanford, Avera/Dakotacare, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. ​Pregnancy Support Services include regular visits with a nurse to share information about pregnancy, to provide assistance in obtaining early and on-going prenatal care from a qualified healthcare provider, and to link women to resources they may need to support a healthy pregnancy. Teaching topics may include: how your body is changing and how your baby is growing; eating healthy and gaining the right amount of weight; warning signs or symptoms that indicate you should contact your doctor; breastfeeding education and support; and caring for you and your baby after delivery. The Watertown and Sisseton locations are also able to provide car seats for all ages at no cost.

It is designed to provide temporary assistance and build economic self-sufficiency for children and families. Eligibility and income guidelines are available by phone or by visiting the website.

The Mental Health Service Line provides connection to outpatient mental health services, psychiatry services, local recovery coordination, care coordination, and peer support services. Also offers care for military sexual trauma, PTSD, suicide prevention and awareness outreach, and gun safety locks. Telehealth service options are available.

Monument Health is an integrated health care system with the purpose of helping patients and communities live well. Rapid City Monument Hospital provides health care services 24 hours a day / 7 days a week to the people who live in the Black Hills. The hospital has a pharmacy for medication needs as well as medication disposal. Specialties include: Anesthesiology, cancer care, critical care, dentistry, dialysis, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, general surgery, heart and vascular care, hospital medicine, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, infectious disease, laboratory services, medical imaging, neonatology, nutrition services, oral and maxillofacial surgery, pediatric and adolescent medicine, ob/gyn, pharmacy, physical therapy, prenatal care, pulmonology therapy services, women's and children's health, wound and ostomy care.

Falls Community Health is a family practice medical clinic and dental clinic with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. The Community Health Center was established in 1979 with its goal being to remove the barriers, primarily financial, that exist and limit the access of lower income individuals or families seeking primary health care services.  ​Services for the general public include family health, lab radiology, well-child care, immunizations, family planning (including birth control, STD screening and treatment), patient education, and dental care. Services for established clinic patients include outpatient mental health and substance abuse counseling, psychiatry services, transportation assistance (transporter of last resort), and pharmacy assistance to clients of the Falls Community Health Care Clinic.

A youth organization that provides a safe place for kids to go after school and during the summer on week days. Members participate in a variety of activities such as homework help/tutoring, organized sports programs, Youth for Unity, Teen Center, and guided activities on character and leadership, education and career skills, and healthy living/active lifestyles. Snacks are provided.

Provides car seat installation and safety checks at any Sioux Falls Fire Station from 8:00am - 8:00pm (CT), Monday - Sunday. ​Individuals are encouraged to call 211 to register before arriving at a fire station.

A needs-based pantry that provides food, winter clothing, and school supplies to local and surrounding small town residents.

The Child Advocacy Center provides expert forensic interviews and medical examinations of children who are alleged victims of sexual and/or physical abuse or witnesses to violence. This program is housed with the Children's Home Society. The primary goal of the Child Advocacy Center is to reduce a child's trauma by eliminating repeated interviews and medical examinations by multiple investigative parties. The Center provides one coordinated interview and a physical exam, and provides superior evidence in child abuse investigations. The interview process may be observed on closed-circuit television by the referring social worker and law enforcement officer. The Child Advocacy Center also provides comprehensive training in Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) , Enough Abuse Campaign, Trauma Informed Care/Response, Mandatory Reporting/handling child abuse disclosures, and Multidisciplinary Child Abuse Investigations. Trainings are open to the entire state and are detailed to the requesting audience. Trainings, based on topics, are appropriate for caregivers, system professionals, and community members. CHS partners with the Center of Prevention of Child Maltreatment and state agencies to host, support, and provide trainer support in the ACEs and EnoughAbuse curriculums.

Pick up services are not available for residents within Sioux Falls city limits for transportation within Sioux Falls.

A place to shop for clothing needs at no cost. A team will assist with a shopping appointment. Find clothing for everyone from newborn to seniors, a kids play area, and dressing room to try on items before taking home. All shopping is by appointment only. Please visit the website and click on the RSVP button. A team leader will confirm your appointment. This is a volunteer led ministry. There are a limited number of spots available each month.

Matches an elementary, middle, or high school student from area schools with an adult who can provide consistent support and friendship over the course of the academic year. Once a week for an hour mentors meet with a student on-site at a convenient time. Mentors and students enjoy a variety of activities together, such as working in the computer lab, playing board games, reading a book, playing basketball, or simply eating lunch together and talking.
