Blessing Box A cupboard that is stocked with small amounts of non-perishable groceries, personal hygiene products, seasonal clothing and other necessities. This is not a food pantry, rather a cupboard to offer needed items to help people get by.

Children's services include case management and a home-based program that provides a wide range of therapeutic support. Early childhood mental health services are also available including play therapy. Areas of specialization include depression, anxiety, grief, parenting challenges, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), stress management, and issues related to trauma or abuse.

Services are offered in a safe, graced filled environment where an authentic connection with a therapist and client is formed. Available services include individual psychotherapy, group therapy, marriage and family therapy, couples counseling, Christian counseling, outpatient substance abuse treatment, gambling treatment, pornography addiction treatment, intimacy disorder treatment, spouse of sex addict treatment, family recovery therapy, internet and gaming treatment, spiritual direction, life coaching, psychotherapy for pastors, ministry leaders, non-profit leaders, and business executives, and treatment also for anxiety, depression, trauma and grief issues along with a variety of other mental and emotional distress.

Trained peer or professionally led groups for caregivers and others dealing with Alzheimer's disease. Many locations offer specialized groups for children, individuals with younger-onset and early-stage Alzheimer's, adult caregivers and others with specific needs.

Paula Lain Counseling (PLC) is a female-led counseling service that offers sessions for individuals, families, couples, and adolescents, with a particular emphasis on animal-assisted therapy.

Provides income-based sliding fee scale services for anyone of reproductive age (men, women, adolescents) including birth control/contraceptives/vasectomy, annual exams including Pap smears/Breast exams, referrals for higher level care, STI/HIV screening, pregnancy testing/counseling, and sexual health education. Free condoms are available.

Provides direct patient health care services including: promoting education and awareness of proper diet, exercise and health care practices; providing health care to patients with diabetes complications; education on reducing/preventing disease and accidents; providing transportation to health care facilities for patients; assisting IHS in providing baby and well-child immunizations checks; informing proper agencies of any violations and conducting follow-ups; gerontology for the elderly population; reducing rate of teenage pregnancy, STD's, with awareness and prevention practices; conducting Wellness, Health and Nutrition Awareness workshops/clinics; providing direct health care services to physically impaired individuals; providing medical transportation by means of the Transit Program; providing community health worker services; and providing animal care services to canine and feline species.

Student support services provides staff and services related to Homeless Education; Indian Education; counselor and social work assistance. The Office of Homeless Education facilitates the enrollment, attendance, and success of children and youth in transitional housing in the Sioux Falls School District. Funding for these services are provided by a federal grant through the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act. This Act mandates that homeless children and youth must have access to appropriate public education, including preschool, and be given a full opportunity to meet state and local academic achievement standards. Specifically, treating chronic and acute conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, indigestion, physicals, colds/cough/flu, eat and throat infections, sexually transmitted disease screening and treatment, and immunizations.

Offers open swim and swimming lessons in the Clark community. Family and individual passes are available and can be purchased at the pool. Adjacent to the pool is a park. It offers a playground and picnic shelters available on a first come, first serve basis.

They do this in many ways, and all services are driven by each person's own goals, dreams, and needs. Some areas of focus are accessing their community which may include volunteering or attending activities and events in the community; recreational and leisure activities such as swimming, bowling, spending time at local parks, movies, or eating out; meaningful relationships; maintaining or leaning new skills; and self advocacy.

Provides the food vouchers, prescription expense assistance (medicine only), vision expense assistance (eyeglasses and contacts), and personal care items (laundry soap, cleaning supplies, and hygiene items). Please note, prescription assistance is for those without insurance and it is for one time only! Personal care assistance is once in a calendar year.

Loving School at Sioux Falls Children's Home and Owen School at Black Hills Children's Home serves students ages 4-14, in grades PreK through 8th grade, including children in the Sioux Falls and Black Hills Residential Treatment Program. Specializes in meeting educational needs relating to childhood trauma, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, reactive attachment disorder, abuse and neglect, anxiety disorder, aggression, and parent-child challenges. Students receive individual and group therapy at a minimum of 2 hours per month and have access to medical care and psychiatric services, as needed. A student does not need an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) to be enrolled in Children's Home Society schools. If a student does have an IEP, the IEP is implemented and managed by Loving School staff or Owen School staff. Each student's treatment team meets quarterly to share progress and monitor treatment goals. Occupational Therapy and Speech/Language services are available as prescribed by an IEP.

The Department of Human Services Guardianship Program provides guardianship and/or conservatorship services as a last resort to qualified individuals age 18 or older with an intellectual or developmental disability as defined in SDCL 27B-1-18 or qualified individuals in the Long Terms Services and Supports program. The South Dakota Department of Human Services may be appointed as a guardian, a conservator, or both, for adults with developmental disabilities under its care or to whom it is providing services or financial assistance, but only if there is no individual, nonprofit corporation, bank or trust company, or other public agency that is qualified to serve, as defined in SDCL 29A-5-110, or qualified individuals in the Long Terms Services and Supports program. The department also provides financial assistance for qualified individuals who are willing and qualified to serve as a guardian and/or conservator of up to $1,500.00 for the establishment of a guardianship or conservatorship through the Guardianship Establishment Program. Limited amount of funds for this program are available each year on a first come first served basis for qualified individuals.

Pharmacy services include prescription refills and transfers, Medicare open enrollment, medication synchronization, immunizations, and free prescription delivery. This is also a medication disposal site.

Mental health counseling uniquely tailored to meet each client's needs in a safe, non-judgmental environment. A variety of methods are used for treatment including EMDR, IFS, CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Adlerian Therapy. Trauma informed care is provided for adolescents, adults, individuals, couples and families working through anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relational trauma as well as other issues that occur throughout life. In-person sessions are available in the Spearfish office, or statewide via telehealth. Intensive and marathon sessions are provided as an option for treatment as well as traditional counseling sessions for individuals and couples.

Provides food to meet basic nutritional needs. Assistance is available once per month.
