Provides home care and nursing services to anyone 18 years or older who needs assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) due to illness, injury, disability, or aging. Services take into consideration spiritual, physical and emotional needs. Provides assistance to individuals with varying abilities to live as independently as possible through home care services, companion care, personal care, and in-home nursing care.

Guides and inspires adults, children, adolescents, couples and families with concerns that are impeding joy and life fulfillment. Will assist in ways to improve relationships, eliminate symptoms and inspire the best version of each individual. Specialties include: trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, conflict management, personality disorders, and bipolar. Modalities of treatment encompass: Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming (EMDR), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT, Tapping), Psychodynamic Therapy, Filial Therapy, Brain Tap, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Couples Techniques, Christian Counseling, Play Therapy, Parent-Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), Sand Tray Therapy, and other techniques specific to the individual, adolescent, children, family, and couples needs.

Offers a family-centered approach to care and is committed to providing only the most appropriate services based on regular assessments of your needs. Staff has been trained and tested in the care of dementia patients and are supervised and evaluated regularly by Registered Nurses. Services offered are home health, companionship, homemaking assistance, respite care, pediatrics, home care & support services, medical staffing, and long term care assessments.

Provides bags of supplemental food for any students in the Vermillion School District area during the school year. Arrangements can be made for the Backpacks (pre-packed food sacks) to be picked up at the child's school (Headstart - High school), or food can be packed at Tanager Take Out (located at the Community Connection Center).

Sallie's Table (Saturday and Sunday) All are welcome around Sallie's Table at the Salvation Army, a weekend meal serving on 4:45pm - 5:45pm, every Saturday and Sunday evening Free Sunday Breakfast 8:45am - 9:30am Senior Neighbor Luncheon (Monthly) Seniors gather together for a time of fun, food and fellowship (crafts, bingo and table games), 12:00pm - 1:00pm, 3rd Wednesday of each month The Salvation Army provides the entree and each senior brings a dish to pass (either a side dish or dessert). Every month a special program is created for the seniors and birthday's taking place are recognized.

Strives to ensure that all learners - especially English Language Learners (ELL), economically disadvantaged learners and minority students - have the supports they need to achieve academic, career, and life goals. CSFP program (Commodities): Provides healthy food once a month to low income elderly. A 25-28 lb. box of healthy food and 2-lbs of cheese available once a month. TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program): Provides emergency food assistance at no cost. The only requirement for TEFAP recipients is self-declaration that they fall within the TEFAP income eligibility guidelines. Food Pantry - client choice pantry: Available to those with a gross household income no more than 185% of poverty level. Participants can shop once a month. Quantity of food is based on the size of household. Mitchell Food Pantry is an equal opportunity provider.

The Auditor is the keeper of County records and acts as a bookkeeper of County business. The Auditor is responsible for County Commissioner meetings including scheduling, agenda, business follow-up, Preparing the County's budget, Audit bills or other claims against the County and prepare the warrants in payment of these bills, Figuring the mil levy, and Head election officer of the County. Notary Public services available. Some fees may apply. Welfare services include medical assistance, utilities assistance for disconnect notices on heating bills, and burial/funeral assistance. All assistance is based on eligibility guidelines. All applicants are required by law to repay the county for assistance given, per SDCL 28-14. County is payer of last resort after all other resources have been utilized.

Operation Chow Line (OCL) is a community-based, upstream suicide prevention strategy for veterans and military families living in rural South Dakota. The program addresses food insecurity by hosting free community meals. Local businesses help sponsor the events, and relevant local, state, and federal resources are present to support early engagement and access to support. These gatherings reduce isolation and increase access to support.

A crisis pregnancy center guided by the principle that it is the right of every pregnant woman to give birth and the right of every child to be born. Birthright offers f​ree and confidential pregnancy tests, emotional support, referrals for legal, medical, and educational information within the community, prenatal information, maternity and baby clothes, newborn layettes, diapers (available based on donations and usually only newborn/infant sizes), and formula/baby food (available based on donations).

Providing Transgender & Gender Diverse individuals in need of clothing a meeting with a personal stylist to choose clothing, shoes and accessories and take home a week's worth at no cost to them.

Offers groups for children: OCD and Worry Free, a psychotherapy group for kids ages 8-13 with obsessive compulsive disorder. Kids, Boundaries, and Manners, an 8-week learning group designed to help children understand body boundaries and personal space. Virtual and in-office visits available.
