A public health nutrition program for income-eligible infants and children up to age 5, pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women. WIC provides nutrition education to help make healthy eating choices, breastfeeding education for expectant and new mothers looking to learn more about their infant nutrition options, referrals to connect families with quality medical care and other community services, and food benefits to help families purchase nutritious groceries at participating businesses statewide.

Treats many conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, abuse, domestic violence, attachment issues, behavioral issues, suicidality, and more. Also provides counseling for couples and families, and formal addiction assessments and treatment and group therapy for recovery. Psychiatry services, including assessment, diagnosis, and medication management, are available for individuals ages 3 and older. Provides functional medicine, acupuncture, massage, and yoga services, as well as supervision for LPC-MH and CSW-PIP licensure and consultation for EMDR certification.

Helps families with temporary relief care for children or adults with special needs. The child or adult must live with a parent or family member and meet one of the eligibility categories below. There is no income limit. An adult or child eligible for family support waiver services is not eligible for respite services. Eligibility Categories include: Developmental disability (child or adult); Developmental delay (birth to age 3); Serious emotional disturbance (child); Severe and persistent mental illness (adult); Chronic medical condition (child); Traumatic brain injury (child or adult); Adopted Child (with or without a disability).

Rapid City Monument Hospital provides health care services 24 hours a day / 7 days a week to the people who live in the Black Hills. The hospital has a pharmacy for medication needs as well as medication disposal. Specialties include: Anesthesiology, cancer care, critical care, dentistry, dialysis, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, general surgery, heart and vascular care, hospital medicine, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, infectious disease, laboratory services, medical imaging, neonatology, nutrition services, oral and maxillofacial surgery, pediatric and adolescent medicine, ob/gyn, pharmacy, physical therapy, prenatal care, pulmonology therapy services, women's and children's health, wound and ostomy care.

VA is committed to ending Veteran homelessness. No one who has served our country should ever go without a safe, stable place to call home. The HUD-VASH program exists to assist veteran's with establishing and maintaining housing. Intensive case management is provided to the veteran.

The Repair Affair program has volunteers do free accessibility related repairs for elderly or permanently disabled homeowners. Event will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Projects considered include wheelchair ramps, handrails, grab bars and replacement of knobs to levers. The deadline for completed applications will be Friday, May 1, 2026. To qualify, an applicant must meet the following criteria: Applicant must own and occupy the home Applicant or dependent, must have a permanent disability OR be 65 years of age or older The home must be within Lincoln, Minnehaha, McCook or Turner counties Applicant's home must be a single-family dwelling. Income guidelines apply, see application. Improvements will not be done on mobile homes. Materials are donated through the Sioux Empire Home Builders Care Foundation and through the Housing Division of the City of Sioux Falls.
