Offers parenting classes using 3 different Love and Logic parenting curriculums. Love and Logic Adults Supporting Youth With Challenging Pasts (ASYWCP) is a trauma-focused parenting curriculum. This is suitable for professionals and families with older children and/or a mix of ages. It is also helpful for adults who have a history of their own trauma. Parenting the Love and Logic Way is suitable for professionals and families with children of all ages, including young children. Love and Logic Supporting Youth With Special Needs provides additional information and skills for parents and individuals working with children/youth with disabilities. This class is for those who have completed either of the other curriculums. Each curriculum is generally taught in 2-hour blocks of time but can be adjusted to meet individual, family and group needs and circumstances. Participants receive a workbook, certificate of completion, 12-20 hours of instruction and on-going support for up to 6 months following course completion if desired. Classes provided at mutually agreed locations including but not limited to libraries and churches. Participants required to attend and complete parenting classes are encouraged to check whether these classes meet the necessary requirements for their particular situation.

Serves a child-friendly meal to families each Wednesday during the school year.

ICAP Children and Family Services include the following: Half Day Services: Eligible children ages 3 - 5 will receive 3 1/2 hours of center-based preschool, 4 days per week, September - May. (limited locations) EHS Home Based Services: A home visitor meets with eligible women who are pregnant and/or families with children under the age of 3 once per week for 1 1/2 hours (at a regularly scheduled time). Group socialization meetings are held twice per month. Child Development Center: Madison and Sioux Falls (ages 4 weeks - 3 years) can receive early childhood services and childcare each day year-round at ICAP's childcare center.

Supporting foster families by providing necessary resources such as clothing, diapers, personal hygiene items, and other essential items.

Offers shelter and services for the victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault; with the goal to build self-esteem and confidence so they may live freely and independently as is their God-given right. Services include shelter, 24-hour hotline, food, transportation, counseling, assistance with housing search, assistance with job search, assistance with legal situations, and keeping all information confidential. ​Support group available for victims of abuse and sexual assault facilitated by a licensed counselor for those who have left the abuser, are still living with the abuser but need help to survive, and for those who need to know what to do next. Programs include Common Sense Parenting which is a step-by-step guide for raising responsible children and providing skills to help parents build strong, healthy families. Parenting classes can be arranged for non-English speaking people. Class times vary, call for information.

Bright Start is a community-based, voluntary program which implements the evidence based Nurse Family Partnership model to provide nurse home visitation services to families during pregnancy, after delivery and may continue until the child's second birthday. Services include prenatal, maternal and infant/child health assessments and education; and health, safety and nutrition education. Families are linked with resources such as prenatal, postpartum, and pediatric medical care, family planning services, mental health services, job training, literacy services, employment opportunities, housing, substance abuse treatment, early childhood assessment and intervention opportunities, and other community resources

The student food cupboard is a campus resource that provides free food and essential supplies to students experiencing food insecurity, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals and can focus on their education without the added stress of hunger.

Provides marriage and family counseling, pregnancy counseling, grief counseling, trauma-informed counseling, career counseling, domestic violence/spouse/intimate partner abuse counseling, child abuse survivor counseling, parent counseling, and telemental health.

Provides in-home services including the following: relief and respite care, companionship, personal hygiene and grooming, dressing, bathing, meal prep, assistance with light exercising, light housekeeping, laundry, errand services, appointment escorts, shopping assistance, pet care, medication reminders, and some nursing services.

Assists low-income individuals or families with loans or grants to purchase new housing, repair current housing (ex: roof repair, plumbing, electrical, heating, etc.), and housing loans and grants for farm laborers.

Offers a family-centered approach to care and is committed to providing only the most appropriate services based on regular assessments of your needs. Staff has been trained and tested in the care of dementia patients and are supervised and evaluated regularly by Registered Nurses. Services offered are home health, companionship, homemaking assistance, respite care, pediatrics, home care & support services, medical staffing, and long term care assessments.

Provides housing rental assistance to low-income families, seniors and disabled individuals as well as security deposit assistance.

Offers residential behavioral health support to young and old to help individuals cope and thrive in a nurturing environment. Services and amenities include 24/7 care under a registered nurse, private rooms, assistance with activities of daily living, medication management, activities to encourage mental and physical wellbeing, personal laundry and housekeeping services, nutrition services, supervised transportation, individualized plans of care, professional guidance for financial support, and payee services. Also has a partnership with Community Counseling Services.

Provides Public Health Nursing and Maternal Child Healthcare Services through various programs. General public health services include professional nursing and nutrition information and guidance on health, safety, and nutrition for individuals, families, and communities. Services such as influenza vaccinations and screenings for blood pressure, hearing, vision, and hemoglobin are available at a fee. Maternal Child Healthcare provides Infant Sleep Safety services, immunizations, and pregnancy support services. Infant Sleep Safety services provide education on infant safe sleep practices and link families to resources when the purchase of a crib is a financial hardship. ​Immunizations services are available for children from birth through age 18 for all universally recommended vaccinations including influenza. The Vaccines for Children's Program provides vaccines for children who are uninsured, have insurance that does not cover vaccinations, are Medicaid eligible, or are Native American or Alaskan Native. For families with insurance coverage, the Department of Health is an in-network provider for Sanford, Avera/Dakotacare, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. ​Pregnancy Support Services include regular visits with a nurse to share information about pregnancy, to provide assistance in obtaining early and on-going prenatal care from a qualified healthcare provider, and to link women to resources they may need to support a healthy pregnancy. Teaching topics may include: how your body is changing and how your baby is growing; eating healthy and gaining the right amount of weight; warning signs or symptoms that indicate you should contact your doctor; breastfeeding education and support; and caring for you and your baby after delivery. The Watertown and Sisseton locations are also able to provide car seats for all ages at no cost.

Items that are NOT accepted include: trash, regulated medical waste, sharps, syringes, thermometers, hazardous waste, aerosols, illicit drugs, or commercial waste.

Provides the food vouchers, prescription expense assistance (medicine only), vision expense assistance (eyeglasses and contacts), and personal care items (laundry soap, cleaning supplies, and hygiene items). Please note, prescription assistance is for those without insurance and it is for one time only! Personal care assistance is once in a calendar year.

Community mental health center offering the following services: Moral Recognition Therapy (MRT) Group for adolescents and adults, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), individual counseling, marriage and family counseling, psychotropic medication management, domestic violence evaluations and follow up services, psychiatric evaluations and medication management. Walk-in assessments are available at the Watertown and Sisseton locations. Also offers and telehealth services.

Child's Voice is a nationally accredited Child Advocacy Center that provides medical evaluations for children who may be victims of abuse and neglect. The primary goal of all children's advocacy centers is to ensure that children disclosing abuse are not further victimized by the intervention systems designed to protect them. Children are referred to Child's Voice by law enforcement, Child Protective Services and medical professionals. Child's Voice uses a multidisciplinary team approach to evaluate children with suspected child abuse and neglect. This means that law enforcement, child protection, medical professionals, counselors, state's attorneys and victim advocates all work together to coordinate an effective response for the child and their family. Child's Voice provides forensic interviews, medical exams, family consultations, and advocacy.

Those who are on their moon time are respectfully asked to not attend. Community Inipi is open to men, women, children, Two-Spirit, and gender diverse community members seeking spiritual connection. Women's Inipi is open to all women, as well as Two-Spirit and non-binary community members who align with women's spiritual teachings. Positive Indian Parenting (PIP) - an 8-week parent training class for Indigenous parents, caregivers, non-Native foster parents of Indigenous children, and others who strive to be more positive in their approach to parenting. It is a structured exploration of traditional American Indian and Alaska Native values concerning parenting and helps participants apply those values in a modem setting. Red Road Approach (RRA) men's and women's groups provide a cognitive and experiential curriculum on Native American/Indigenous philosophies, activating the spirit for individuals, families, and communities. Participants are guided through lessons on the impacts of alcohol and drugs on the mind, body, and spirit. This 10-week adult program meets on a weekly basis. Incentives are available for graduates of the program. ​Spiritual Group is a safe space for those seeking support, healing, and a time to connect with others in the community. All are welcome. Alcoholics Anonymous provides a confidential, safe and non- judgmental setting for those experiencing substance use disorder (SUD). A A follows a 12-step program focusing on actions that guide members through their recovery journey. This is an open yet confidential group. Anyone is welcome. No sign-up is necessary. Other cultural activities, such as Walking group and therapeutic crafts, are offered during the week to take care of individuals spirit and keep connected to traditional Indigenous ways of life. Doors are always open for relatives needing to pray, sing, smudge or just talk. Mitakuye oyasin "we are all related". Not all groups are always offered. South Dakota Parent Connection is a statewide nonprofit organization that helps families, caregivers, and professionals access information, resources, and support for children and youth with disabilities, special health care needs, and developmental concerns. The organization provides free, confidential assistance to help families better understand educational, health care, and community systems. Staff members work alongside families to answer questions, provide information, and connect them with resources that can help meet their unique needs. Services include assistance with:

• Connecting with local, state, and national resources
• Understanding special education services, IEPs, and Section 504 plans
• Navigating disability-related programs and community resources
• Accessing information about health care and support services
• Preparing for school meetings and improving family-school communication
• Planning for life after high school and transition to adulthood
• Finding educational trainings, workshops, and learning opportunities

Individual, couples, or family therapy for the treatment of children, adolescents, adults, and seniors focusing on issues including, but are not limited to anxiety, mood, personality disorders, somatization disorders, psychosexual disorders, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress (PTSD), abuse issues, eating disorders, dementia, grief and loss, childhood emotional and behavioral disorders, spirituality, stress management, and executive health. Evaluations available include psychiatric, psychological, neuropsychological, forensic, and custody.
