Suicide Prevention Specialist programming to assist with prevention activities.

4-week class for parents with children ages birth - 3 years old. Parents will learn about topics such as social-emotional growth, early brain development, temperament, and guidance. This class is usually an online, virtual, class.

A 5-day, overnight summer camp designed for abused and neglected children in foster care. When a child goes to Royal Family KIDS Camp they receive the attention and encouragement of an adult camp counselor and his/her buddy camper. In addition, each camper is also exposed to a variety of fun activities, designed for their success and to build self-esteem. For most of these children, it's the best week of the year - a special time when they can focus on having fun and enjoy being a kid.

Offers free food to anyone 18 years of age or older. There is no restriction on who can come, or how many times you can come. A pre-packaged box of food in a drive thru style giveaway. Guests will stay in their vehicles and will follow a predetermined route via the north entrance of the fairgrounds off of Madison Street. Pet food also now available, supply is limited. Food (boxed) or pet food delivery available for those who cannot otherwise get to the giveaway on a limited basis. Responds to the needs of individuals in the Mitchell area affected directly or indirectly by mood-altering chemical use or dependency through a wide variety of services including treatment needs assessments, detoxification, intensive inpatient and outpatient treatment, first offender DUI courses, adolescent and adult aftercare, adolescent treatment, anger management, moral recognition therapy (MRT), relapse prevention courses, parenting classes, strengths group, CBISA, readiness group for federal probationers, referrals, group and individual therapy, transitional living, and continued care.

Services include comprehensive survivor-centered services, a 24-hour crisis hotline, advocacy, safety planning, support groups, court accompaniment for civil and criminal proceedings, and assistance with housing and community resources.

The daytime program provides the following services: case management for connection with needed resources, access to computers and a phone for housing and job searches, showers, laundry, clothing bank, hot coffee, lunch, and temporary mail address services.

Responsible for commissioners proceedings, agendas, and records, accounting records, revenue, and expense reports, voter registration and election, businesses applications for beer and liquor licenses, figures real estate and mobile home taxes, handles county bid lettings, manages medical indigent, county payroll and employee drug and alcohol testing programs, and the Auditor and Treasurer work in conjunction to pay county bills. This office also oversees one time, last resort/emergency financial assistance in the form of an interest-free loan for residents who need help with burial expenses, medical indigent claims, prescription payment assistance, rent payment assistance (to prevent eviction), and utility payment assistance for current and past due bills regarding water, lights, heating, phone, and trash.

Veterans Stand Down event provides education and information about Veteran services and benefits to Veterans and their families in the West River region. The event also includes haircuts, clothing, hygiene products, employment services, legal assistance, housing referrals, eye screening/reading glasses, readjustment counseling. A free meal is served at all locations.

First request for food assistance will be handled on a current needs basis following a short interview process with the coordinators of the food bank, the Pastor of Little White Church, or office secretary. An application for assistance will need to be completed providing contact information. A confidential record of usage will be maintained in the church office. Users of the Food Pantry will be provided bags of food for 3 consecutive weeks. This amount of food should help a struggling family or individual to get back on solid ground. Following the first 3 weeks, users of the Food Pantry can access usage of the Food Pantry every other week receiving 2 bags of food per person according to posted limitations. If there is a change in an individual's circumstances additional assistance may be considered at the direction of the coordinators of the food bank, the Pastor of Little White Church, or office secretary.

Community Outreach assists people who are struggling with basic financial and non-financial needs by providing information, referral to other resources, and where appropriate, financial assistance in the following areas:
